Laclede Ave
THE PROJECT
After sitting untouched for years, this Central West End condo was ready for a thoughtful update. The original galley kitchen was separated from the rest of the home by a single doorway, making it feel especially closed off from the adjoining living spaces.
Opening the kitchen became the starting point for the renovation. From there, we reworked the floor plan to create a dedicated laundry room and enlarge the primary bathroom. New windows and white oak flooring throughout brought warmth and continuity to the entire condo.
Our client came to the project with a strong appreciation for architecture and a clear sense of what the space could become. With both her father and grandfather having worked as architects, design had always been part of her life. Bringing that vision to life within a 115-year-old building required care and patience, but the result feels open, cohesive, and completely at home within its historic surroundings.
